They will look great. They are paid for and as stated earlier you have almost everything to make it work. I agree with one other statement- Put the L 79 cam in it and you are set. NOW If by chance you get tired of them I happen to know a person that would love to have that set up for his 57 210 sedan.( HINT HINT)
"Back in the day" I had a '57 Belair convert that I dragged out of a field in Arkansas for $35. Put in a '63 283 with power pack heads and a 2-barrel. Ran like a scared rabbit.
Hi Jay Here Yes definitely keep the dual quads. I've even got something to put it in! Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
[ Dual quads look great. Here is what i am working on. 289, Weiand tunnel ram and 2 Holly 4160 with 390 CFM And a 4sp toploader
I grew up when the 2x4's came out, back then the absolute killer setup was a 270 hp 283 with them. FI was cool, but nobody knew anything about it and it only added about 13hp. Guys who had it often just pulled it and got a set of 2x4's. 3x2/s were great, but who could afford them? They were all aftermarket since the small blocks didn't have them from the factory. If you're set on period correct, you'll also need a dual point centrifugal advance distributor, delco. They fit perfect and definitely look cool.
