Hiboy 32, Since we're playing with numbers how about posting the stats on the chop job? What is the vertical measurement in the center of the windshield (gl*** height) and what is the vertical measurement of the opening in the rear window at the center? Good looking chop BTW.

Hey Fab, thanks for the compliment! The total windshield heighth is 6 1/4 inches in the frame. The rear window heighth is also about 6 1/4, I lowered the bottom of the window to just above the reveal line. I will get in more detail if needed.

I am getting personalized licence plates that read:

3.14EATR
or
EAT3.14

all you mathmaticians will get it......

6. The best example is a '30-'31 Model A. Stock, the ratio of (height below the beltline) to (height above) is close to 1.6. When you chop the top on a full fendered A more than 1"-1.5", it totally screws the look, the proportions. In my opinion anyway.

But... take the fenders and splash aprons off the very same A, reducing all the visual height and m*** below the beltline, It's almost criminal not to chop it 3 or 4 inches. I've seen very few unchopped fenderless A's that look good.

The '26 "phone booth" T coupe is another example. Stock the beltline below/above height ratio is smallish, and you need at least 3" out to get it to the eye-pleasing 1.618. Take the fenders off, and you really have to whack it, 6" or more.

7. Hahaha..... "Huhhhh???????"

Wait a minute PI = 3.14 and the area of a circle =PI r2

My teacher once told me, PI are round
and Corn Bread are square

What gives?

I know this is steadily drifting off topic... BUT if you think the golden ratio is an interesting thing, rent the movie Pi

Use 1.61803399 as a starting point if you're ever in a position to make "creative" decisions about layout, measurements, etc.
