Hey- So going to drop my body on my frame with NEW blocks...... Q- But before the purists chime, hear me first-.... I'm not going to source 80+ year old blocks for "they fit better". I have NEW blocks, and my Q is= because they are squared at a 90* angle, and the X members in the body aren't totally at a 90*, WOULD it be a good idea on my part to sand/grind, whatever dialouge you want to call it, round/shape the edges(top side to body)some what to fit into the X members? I'm thinking so, but, in this arena, this is my first rodeo.....
It's not going to hurt, as all holes with the frame/body are true, but, gathering help for the fitment is sp****, and I want it to go as smooth as possible.......I just cant place the body on the frame myself, and don't want to waste anyone's time if I don't have my **** together......Those who have actually done it with NEW blocks, please chime in..... Thanks-Kid

Don't ever expect anything to go smoothly when working on old cars!! LOL That being said, good questions and proper planning will go a long way to that result. I don't see a problem with sanding them to round the corners and make them slide in a little easier. I too bought the new blocks for my A tudor and they seem to fit nicely.
