Glad you all enjoyed the pics...not sure on how many people are local. I did hear a couple of guys reconnecting and asking who stayed where in town.
I went solo...very surreal, get rid of the modern cars and it’s a time warp

I read the coverage of this event every year, wasn't there a danger of the event ending a few years back? Don't remember the details, use of the field, weather or something, so glad it is running strong. Bob

 

Very cool pics! Thanks for the heads up and sorry I couldn't make it. Looks like a great event. Maybe I should connect with the Model A club so I know about these things. Although I did email the president of the local club years ago and never got a response from him. Oh well.

On a good note, I got the seats installed in my A in the afternoon, so if the event was next week end I'd ready, haha!

I was there and go every year, I love this show (It's the 58th year). No swapmeet and I've heard of people DRIVING down from Fresno area in a stock A. San Diego, Downey, San Bernardino are all regular areas to drive from. I think I heard you dragging pipe coming in.........you got half of me in one of your shots .


Maybe my A will be done for next year????

Yea, coming in off that side ****s for lowered or long cars. One year that was the only side open to get in and my semi stock '47 s****ped.

Those were some good pictures. The Orange Circle is a fun place to visit. A lot of cool antique stores.
This reminds me that the Orange Plaza car show is happening on April 14th. Any one close to Orange should go. Its a big show. They block off Chapman and Gl***ell in that area and fill it with some nice cars.

Thanks for the link @1oldtimer . A couple of years ago I was checking out this club online and sent a message to the club prez asking if they accepted hot rods or not and never got a reply. I got busy with other things while waiting and forgot about it. I think maybe I'll join the club anyway, even though I don't have an original car, maybe I will someday.

 

I don't know about the A club, but the early V8 club was ok with my non stock '47 (still fairly stock though).....they need younger members. Me being non committal and loner like.... I didn't join either clubs, I just like going to their functions and supporting that way.

Hell, this place is about as close of a "club" that I've been a part of. You know the old saying "I don’t care to belong to any club that will have me as a member".

There is just something special about a stock model A. Simple Elegance and Romance. I love driving my stock A.
