Hot Rods Model A coupe top "wood"

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Smokey Stover, May 14, 2016.

  1. Just before I was getting ready to replace the top wood on my coupe I happened to watch one of the DIY TV shows. They were making a curved top window out of PVC "lumber". So, just for fun I decided to see if I could use dimensional PVC instead of wood in my coupe. It worked amazingly well. I cut the pieces to size and used a heat gun to form it to the necessary curves. It holds screws and nails well and will never rot. Not "traditional" but another way around a common problem.
