Technical Model A Dash Measurement Needed

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by gwhite, Sep 18, 2014.

  1. Hey gang, need a couple quick measurements off a Model A dash - both 28-9 and 30-1 would be appreciated.

    Need the width of the panel between the outer ends of the raised reveals (see pic)

    And the height of the dash from the bottom of the rail to the lower edge of the instrument cluster and/or dash;

  2. On a 30 the distance across is 33 1/2" and the vertical measurement is 7"
    To your red lines anyway

    On a early '30 std. roadster with oval speedo , I measured 33and 3/8" for pic#1, and est 8" from bottom of inst panel to top of inst panel. From bottom of inst panel to bottom of dash rail looks like 8and 1/2". On a '31 panel truck with round speedo, I measured same 33and3/8" for pic #1. Truck measures est 7" from bottom of inst panel to top of inst panel,and est 8" from bottom of inst panel to bottom of bolt on dash rail. Hope that helps out.
