I like it. I think if every body liked it though, Ricky Bobby would just have to start over. Mad skills, great cars- I love his green coupe-, but all ways with a little controversial twist.
Maybe I should have ask for opinions about it. Just curious of what some people think about it is all. Some of yall need some powder for that raw ***. Anyways here is a couple more pics of it. Its got a fat *** on it now.
I was thinking 'Es***' when looking at the windshield reveal, esp lower corners. I like the sideshot of the rain gutter, it has good presence - the diagonal shot suggested it was a bit weak but that was just an angle thing. I don't understand all i see from the cowl forward, but i like it. Got to do something with the castor.
Looking at the profile shot, there are two things I do not like. Actually they bug me so bad I want to set myself on fire. Lol The hood, it starts off on a nice clime toward the cowlthe cowl then dives into the windshield, that resultant bumb at the firewall has got to go. The 1/4 window deal, I like that a lot. The roof line, I like that a lot also. Those two should not be together on the same car. Everything else looks great. & much different than Ricky bobby's stuff on his website.
great work...............that being said i guess i am stuck in a time warp, i wouldnt go that way personally. If i wanted a 32 or whatever, then i would start with one. I just think an "A" bone should look like an "A" bone
Me too. I really like to see custom metalwork, and especially when other cars sheetmetal parts are grafted where they don't belong. There are tons of other A coupes out there, and the few modded ones are fun to look at, just like B***'s car
Model As are meant to be blank slates. They're styling in stock form is ugly if not nonexistent. Anything to add some style, as in this case grafting the top from a different car, is an addition. Great vision. I hope it gets finished. There's great potential in this car.
Hideous......just like all the other Model A's with "other" roofs grafted on to make 'em less of a Model A and more of a.....something or other.... Sorry, but you asked.....
But the thing is.....it doesn't have another roof grafted on it--Ricky sliced and diced the stock roof.
Really, that's even better! Now I'm liking it even more. I wasn't trying to imply that Model As are a tired platform for a car it's just the coupe body is just that. There are plenty really great ones on the road but few with that kind of attention to detail where someone takes on turning one into a custom hot rod.
I'd sure like to hear what Brain B*** has to think about this car. All you guys go down all over his modified A bodies because they're just this creative.
Ricky gets no love because his trademark style is cartoon-lookin' sedans, chopped to hell and channeled to the ground(i.e., r**rods). He's a creative guy who thinks outside the box, and does really nice fab work....but weird stuff sells, and he's got plenty of buyers for his creations. I can't fault a guy for trying to make hay while the sun shines He's just trying to feed his family....but when something like this coupe, or his green 33/4 show up, it's a reflection of his creativity.
Nice work, but as long as your asking opinions; the rain gutter should stop at the baseline of the windows. With it going below thethat line it kinda throws off the flow. The top of the back window should come down a little lower too. Gotta give props for effort and creativity though.
if the roof outline followed the new drip rail it might help, to many conflicting lines. i makes me love my stock body coupe though!
So who said a model A had to be choped to be cool? Maybe, no I'm sure, I'm the only one who thinks they look cool without being chopped.
I like it. The roof looks a little thick above the wind shield but it might be the photo. Rear quarter windows look plymouth; cool but not as nice as Model A in my opinion. Flush doors are a nice addition. Over all it looks cool. Nice to see something different.
Damn John, who said we had to be friendly? Most people THINK I'm a *****, until they get to know me. Then they know it. Ricky Bobby (or whatever the real name is....) builds some cool ****. Innovation in every build.
