yep, one touring runs around on here pretty often, racing. I had '29 fenders on a 1927 roadster PU in the late 60's. Ex may still have pictures
Model A frame horn just barely visible on pass. side. HOOD LENGTHENED BEHIND LOVERS, DEFINITELY LONGER W.B...
That makes for a good looking car as far as I am concerned. There was a 27 roadster with A fenders running around the PNW for a long time that I used to see every year at the Vintiques Northwest Nationals in Yakima every year that I really liked.
Its from my home town, Longview, still can be seen on the street between rain burst.. Wescott's down the road a ways makes fenders to fit '27 body,
I like it, but the rear fenders appear to have been bobbed to make it more Model T like... I'm not sure I would have done that.
I suspect they have been "tipped" or "rolled forward" to fit body better. (but I sure don't like that look,)
I have been unable to find a steel 26-27 for a touring....did not want to go glass..I need drivers rear . If I cannot find a reasonable one I will put the A rears on. Thanks for all the input.
If I were to 'fender' my '27 tub, I'd put it on a rolling '28/9 'A' frame with the fenders, and lengthen the hood. Just like that black gem a few above... There was a cool roadster pickup at the old Baylands strip that grabbed me... He circled us, and I exclaimed, "Hey, that's a '27!" (chopped posts and overall wheel-to-fender fit was so cool I thought it was a 'massaged' '29) Could have been a 'factory special' between years...'early '28'... LOL
run a wanted ad, they are out there... sedans are the same......with all the rat rods being put together. start sending conversations everyone that has a fender-less tudor
yep some do,, !!looks good too. (cross years, late 27, we kid !!!!) like when I raised the top 4 inches on my '28 tudor with left over pcs, from a chop job..(prototype)
