Wondering if anyone has subframe measurement or could point me in the direction of where to find information on subframe measurements.

I bought a 31 coupe that has no subframe, the body was all braced up, and subfloor removed. The body came with reproduction subrails and cross pieces. I can't find any actual measurements.

It appears like it will be easier to assemble crossmembers and square up then install it under the body, than trying to piece it together under the body. The subframe had been assembled at one time and spot welded but it appears to be too wide in that configuration so it'd be great to have original subframe measurements.

The searches I can find all point to dead links or the ford garage link of assembly. Which is helpful if I knew some measurements.

Also any close up pics of subfloor mounting to the body would be helpful. Rear isn't a concern as it will be on a 32 frame.

    Thanks

You might have gotten some good answers if you had titled the thread Model A __________(coupe, sedan, roadster) subframe measurements. I'd say 90 percent of the guys passed over your question because they thought you were looking for measurements on a Nova or Camaro subfrrame. The clearer your title is when you have a question the better the answers will be.
I'm no help as most of the subrframe and floor frame work in my 32 Vitoria is or was wood with very little of it left.

I thought the same thing, a Nova or Camaro sub frame. I looked because curiosity got the best of me. Glad it's Model A sub frame. I personally hate the looks other sub frame swaps. Sorry I cant help you out other to say if the body is on the chassis I think you have a better chance to fit the frame in under the body to get it right, only a guess though I never did one.

Wescotts has good drawings and accurate for the bolt holes, you can drill them into a sheet of plywood and then bolt the subframe to the plywood for tack welding.

I had posted it in the traditional hotrods section so it didn't occur to me about frontend swaps. I haven't been on here in awhile and this new format is very confusing.
I have found some useful information via PM.
I have ordered coupe subrails and finished my frame table so while waiting for my rails and parts to show up I will put the body up there and make sure it's square and work off of the measurements I have so far.

The picture posted of the subrails above is a 28/29 body I believe from searching.

I have checked westcott many times for frames but haven't seen anything pertaining to actual body measurements.
