I built my frame with 2/4 .125 tube.......super strong. Put a welder series M2 crossmember in it. It worked really slick. I have a snap On 120V mig that I flux core with and a Hobart 175 220V to do the tuff stuff......cant beat 220 for penitration of welds.......when we build race cars, we tend to use the old big red Lincoln (arc)in the corner, only thing I have found that stop mounts from snapping off the rearend.
Hey guy, uh....I think Bishop is right.......I do this kinda stuff for a living...and for really really fast cars.....when it comes to your ass and skin growing back on it from a bad weld....you need to have a good weld on something critical like that. WE JUST CARE ABOUT OUR FOLKS......
