I'm going to have the place we get our gl*** from at work cut me some laminated safety gl*** for my chopped windshield frame. My question is how thick total should the gl*** be? What do I use to glaze it? Silicone? Rubber? Thanks....Mike

I can't help you on the thickness, I just had a gl*** company use standard flat gl***, but the first one they used Urathane (sp) to set in place in the frame, the frame peeled it's chrome and I had to destrory the gl*** and frame before I junked it. The second winshield in a Aluminum replacement frame was set in place with the original model A windield cork material, no leaks and if I ever break a winshiels gl*** I know I can get it out without damage.

The gl*** shop should be able to fix u up. Its near a 1/4 but I cant remember if it is actually a 1/4 inch. Its standard though. Ive set em with silicone and the setting tape. For a windshield in the frame id use the tape.

Mine measured .200" & seemed to fit the frame fine, it was not the origonal gl*** though.
