Projects Model A juice Brake Convert Problem

    Got new Speedway spindals, 48 Ford hub back plates and drums. Put on, about 1/2 inch short--can see shoes in gap of drum/back plate. Bearings seated and turn smooth---not enough spindal to install cotter key-----What wrong

    You might of gotten hubs from a bigger truck.

    If you have 48 hubs the drums are supposed to attach to the backside of the hub. If they are 40 hubs the drums fit over the hub. And the drums are not the same part.

    What did Speedway call their parts? 48's or 40's?
