Sorry for the late response, its hay season here now so priority's had to change. I think its in the top post connection on the starter, but havent it pulled it off yet to see. Saturday we were able to get it to start if we pushed sideways on that just right, vs down on the top where the switch would hit. a couple more days of haying and then i can get back to it.
If you pull the starter switch off and touch the copper pad with a battery cable does it spin full speed? It most likely could be the contact between the copper in the switch and the copper pad on the starter.

Got it fixed this weekend finally, pulled the starter apart and it was indeed the connection inside between the copper bar and the starter ****on. Starts like a new one now. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
