Great work going on there , Are those grills Vauxhall J 14 , they do look good on rods there is one in my neck of the woods looks very packard and imposing coming towards you
The grilles are 46 Packard. I was lucky and stumbled on all three for $150. . . .So logically I need to build three of these.
Is there any chance to show how you formed the doortops? I am in the process of turning a 29 Tudor sedan into a tub. Its roof was crushed when a barn roof collapsed down onto it. My neighbor was in the process of packing it up to run it to the dump yet asked me if I wanted it. Hell yes, I'll take it... My wife was so pleased. More rusty parts hidden under any space available. I'm using the sedan doors but am converting the upper door tops and all of the rear body sections into a rolled roadster configuration.
I English wheeled the flat door panel to give it a little holding shape and then with my big fat rubber mallet banged the roll over a heavy piece of 1 1/2 pipe. Then I had to shrink the inside edge to get the compound curve. Then back to the English wheel to give it further compound curve. I have double the compound of a 32 ford door. I didn't take pics cos I get in the zone when I'm working. There is probably a day a a half of mucking around just in the two skins as is.
Well, that's the only logical thing to do. I don't know how you managed to come up with anything cooler than the Cadillac, but you have. Well done, that.

Most artists don't think of engineering and most engineers don't think about the art. ( I might be wrong there). . . Nevertheless I do like the saying. . . "If it looks right, it probably is. "

Tony might be right. I never said it wasn't going to be a ******* child. Might be replicating this 38 Buick grille instead of the Packard grille.
Been a while since an update. Hey I love the Italian boattail getting done. I found another Buick grille and bought a repop 32 grille cheap. The narrow 28 cowl means the Buick grille will need to be narrowed and the 33 Chev hood sides mean the cowl and 32 grille will need to be leaned. So I’m umming and ahhhing which direction. I’ll probably turn my attention to gabbing up some ch***is rails next and get it bolted down
The back is absolutely gorgeous, the problem with the front is the cowl, you may want to replace it with a 30-31, will flow better. Best of luck with your project.

Some tractors have a boat tail shaped gas tank, I have one in my parts stash. Don't know what kind of tractor it came off of. One might fit into your car's tail.
Really something that some of you guys are building hot rods from almost nothing these days. An early Allis Chalmers B or C fuel tank should fit in there nicely.
I just love boat tails. Building one from nothing is way beyond my skill set, and so very impressive. I will be watching this to it's finish.
I love this creation! I have that same picture of that long black car from Pebble Beach in my pic collection. Building talent & an eye for proportions & design are a deadly combination. Keep up the good work!
Got two pairs of Morris Minor rear fenders and split them back to back and then made an infill for the front. Front fenders will be standard model A with two Morris hood halves cut to form a pontoon.
