need to order some patch panels for my model a. who has the best that line up as far as body / bead lines.. someone replaced the rear corners on the coupe and they do not match. the patches have way bigger beads. not worth replacing if they dont and if you have to rework the beads be better off trying to build your own . if i had a bead roller die for the lower a bead id be in.. would still have to get new corners though thanks
unfortunately it seems that all the repro coupe corners (at least the 30-31 stuff) have some wonky beads... in fact, i don't think i've ever seen any that were "great"... but i do remember them being better than any of the stuff out there now. on that note, i've noticed that it seems no two factory A panels really match. i'm guessing there were many factories stamping bodies out back then... meaning it'd not all be the same anyway. add 80 years of aging and possible repairs...
Yeah. Unfortunately the rear corner patches usually fit horrible. If you section them and tack them in piece by piece you can get them to fit pretty good. I'm doing some on my A right now. I'll try to post some pics later on.
i will have to try to figure out how to use my bead roller than really other than the rear corner all i need is the lower door/body bead maybe one of the dies suppled with the roller will get me close... i know the patch panels for the 70's cars are shit also. dam after market..
