As an aside, wasn't there an Ansen adaptor or something to use Model A pedals with a master cylinder and a V8 trans?

The Vern Tardel book has details on how to do it, and it has been discussed at length on here before. Have you tried a search?

"MT car products" makes a battery box that bolts right into the stock model a battery box location and has linkage and a flange built into the box to link up your stock model a pedals to a '39-'48 Ford master cylinder to run juicers on your A without any modifications to stock pedals or frame. It's around $300 *****s....kinda pricey but when you figure in labor and all that it's a good deal to me. I'm getting one for my '28 a rpu for sure. Rod 'n Custom did an article a couple issues back called "bringin' up the rear" about converting a model a to juice brake setup.....go to their online site and the article is there in the tech section with all the contact information for "MT car products".
hope this info helps good luck

I'll try to get some pics of what I started with a few weeks back and gave up on......then I just ordered the Tardell K member....I know, I'm a quitter!

For some odd reason, I'm intrigued by the methods people use to mount their pedals in an AV8. So, I've kept many pics on differing methods...

I guess I'll share this info even though I didn't make it work. I just wasn't pleased with the fit and finish. Maybe someone here can take it to the next level.......

When I started out trying to find a way to make a set of hyd. pedals in my AV8, I searched a lot on the HAMB.....lot's of good ways.

However, I wanted something cheap and something that the parts were easy to find- 32 and 39 pedals are HIGH dollar and a 32 k is hard to find.....expensive too!

So, what parts are the street rodders "chucking" for junk and it's still reasonable to buy and find.......40 and up pedals and around 40 ****** mounts.

You can see what it started life out as in these pics......I think this is a 38 frame....

Then, and this is where it started to get expensive.......not what I wanted. However, I was sure I could make it work...

I went to a local machine shop and had them break me a pc. of 3/16" steel into a pc. of channel. I measured the width inside the model A frame and had them make my thick channel to this width......looked good, strong and fit nicely. It should have, I gave $80 for two 5' pcs....didn't need that much though.

Well, I went ahead with it but then I cut it all back out. So here are some pics of what I took out....maybe you can make it work...

I never welded the pc. that tied the two sides together....it is essential, however......your frame bows in and would twist without it...
