Alright everyone, so i've been working on my model a for a few years, after sanding off all the paint I discovered that the left rear quarter panel was completly smashed in and then a hack job reapir was done. I took out all of the lead and tried to repair the panel. That was un succesful. I bought another panel off of ebay but got screwed because of bad picture. The panel was no better than the one i had. So here is my new solution. I want to by a band new brookville roadster panel and cut the coupe part off of my panel and weld them together. I was wondering if anyone has done this before, or if anyone has any other suggestions. Thanks -Rory
I'm assuming by your screen name we're talking about a '30 coupe? The contours of a roadster quarter and a coupe quarter are different enough that a simple graft is not so....... simple. Especially since you've already screwed one up, you may need to practice a bit on something not quite so precious as a Brookville piece. Have you scrolled through the parts for sale on Fordbarn to see if you can find a good used one?
