I usually build customs but I'm now building my first 1930 Model A Hot rod. I was wondering if the gas tank and the top of the cowl are one piece or can I take out the gas tank separately?

Top of cowl IS the top of the gas tank.

  3. Gas tank and top of cowl are one piece, but I cut the bottom out and installed a 38 ford dash in mine. If you do what I did you have more room and a wider varity of dashes.

With the stock dash and tank I have very little room for my knees. That dash looks even lower. My 2 cents

Thats what i thought. I am going to be putting a 49 ford dash in it and need to make room. Plus a tank full of gas sitting on my lap makes me a little nervous. It will go in back. Thanks.
