Technical model a rear tire size

what is the larges tire size i can mount on a 35 spoke wheel i wat to fill the rear wheel fender opening

 

You can for sure fit a 750-16. Not sure that there is a commonly available tire size for a 16” that’s taller. At around 31.5” tall the radius of the tire is also pretty dead on to the fender opening radius on a 28/9 as well.

 

There is another current thread running that covers the same question and several members showed 7-50 16 tires on their cars. That is as big as you would want and have it look right.

 

Tire just barely in the wheel wheel to show it follows the radius. The back half is just a shadow, it’s tight the whole way. knobby 750’s on 35 wires on the same car
