Model a rear wish bone questions

    Im runing a sbc with a t-5 do the front of my wishbones pivot point need to match up with the front u-joint. or can I run them about a foot infront. ive seen both methods used . but im worring about a binding drive shaft.I have done searches on the matter but did not come up with any info. thanks
     
  2. model a radius rods are not strong enough for what you are doing
    you need a 3rd link or reinforce the stock a radius rods
    and to answer your question, i would make them the same length as the drive shaft

    im acutallly using 48 ford front wishbones split on the rear with 3/4 inch heims. and i was going to run a suport bar with a 5/8 clevis on top. but I want to run them long and low on the frame because I like the look of them.
     
  4. Depends on your rear suspension travel also,the more back there,the more slipjoint movement,compromise somewhere would be called for.You would also want them on the same plane as your uni,or as close as.
    Your choice obviously as you no where the best position is.
