    Gents and ladies
I am looking for some measurements/plans so I can build a sub frame or body rail you know the folded sheet metal bits the body sits on, for a 1928 roadster, I know the bits to build one are available in the USA but it gets very expensive shipping to Australia. I have nothing to measure off or to copy, I am sure some of the experts here have done this. I am tempted to make it out of 1" by 2" rectangle tube as I have seen someone selling these at a swap meet.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I have been told that A roadsters built in Australia had wood sub frames, that will be why mine had no rails, or just the remnants of them when I got it!

I'm in the process of making a subframe from three different Roadster frames, and could take some photos once it is all one piece. I know Brookville makes them, but as you said shipping them to Australia will be costly.

  8. Best way to ship something like that is find someone buying a car and have them sent along in the container.

  9. Hello Brendan

I found the sub frame, I think its better you specify on my pick what measurements you need. The profile is different depending where you will measure. Take a copy of my pick and point your measurements on it.

  11. Hello Brendan

I finally made the measurements; I did a change of nr 15 as you can see. The rear sub rails isn't parallel as you can see on the measurements, just let me know if you want some more. The profile is different depending where you measure, please let me know on the picture on what places you want the profile.
