Cool thread. I am thinking of building a banger beater myself. I will be watching this one come together.

    Brandon,
No, I traded off the frame to my good friend Len...but kept the K member to go into the A frame. He wanted a frame less K member because he's doing a T5 so it worked out well. I will still se the pedals for the build as well (should bolt right in :D)
I will be going to look at that 41 hood this week, I'll take some pics and email em to you.

Well, I think my Flu is about over, I actually felt motivated to do something today. The rear end my Dad was giving me with the frame I bought is junk...I think. There is no driveshaft, but the torque tube is still safty-wired at the bottom so I have a feeling that it broke/blew up. I don't want to spend the time/money to rebuild an A rear end, so being the scrounger that I am located another one.

This one sat in a dry barn since the 60's. It was SUPER tight and I could barley turn it over when I looked at it...but everything looked good so I figured what the hell...plus it was cheap. I got it home, took the brakes off and poured 1/2 gallon of paint thinner in it. Then I started rotating it and it soon turned easier and easier. I think it was just gunked up. Now she spins over great. I drained the gross crap out of it, will reassemble and get it ready to go under the car :D

So did Lenny get you sick? Are you putting an A bang box in? I guess I will be rock and rolling at Billet Proof while you are watching some guy throw his life away...?

Corey, you don't even know what your talking about. I'll bet your A comes up for sale this summer to pay for flowers and maybe doves to fly away at the end of the ceremony.

Oh yeah, it will have a stock A trans for now.
