  1. Looks like plate down wins! Thanks Dale and Terry...Terry if you have a picture of what your 41 lights looked like I would like to see it, sounds interesting.

I had a re-think on plate up or plate down......saw this as i was flicking thru a book at home......it's plate up but at a much lower position so that the light hangs down.......so now I say plate up!

(sorry for the poor quality of the pic)

Hey Chris, I think I have to agree with spence-d with the plate up. Plus one of my all time favorite hotrods...the Pierson Brother coupe ran plate up when it needed to be legal. Page 16, HOTROD mag, April 1950. Different note, did you get a chance to clean up that mechanical brake assembly for the roadster? Does it need to be bushed? or is in good working order? You gonna drag the roadster to B-ville this year??

  5. I'll have to play with the light and plate, both styles are appealing if in the right spot on the back.
I havn't really messed with that assembly, but even if it needs bushed it's no big deal. I may take it to Bonneville, would be great out on the salt. I'm not 100% sure I'm going, but if I do, 90% chance it'll be there!
