I have searched this and read quite a bit about design. I am looking to install a fairly simple cage in my A, looking more to provide a little safety on the road ,not on a track so I really don't need to build it to any certain sanctioning body specs. Which brings me to my question has anyone used or know someone who has used the removable bar links like what you see on some off road, trail style rigs roll cages ? Do they maintain a good amount of integrity or are they
going to make it an exercise in futility? I would like to weld my a pillar and main hoop bars in then cut these in so if I remove the body I could break the cage apart then reinstall it when I needed too.

look at JEGS online catalog. You can buy a prebent kit for a 30-31 Model A coupe for almost cheaper than the metal would cost at the store. Use the pieces you need sell the rest...Lucky

search hidden agenda. I machined some solid slugs so that my door bars can be taken in and out.
