  2. Beatnik has one of the best collection of Pics I know.

Hopefully he'll see this and post some. I'm about ready to start on a 31 RPU myself and could use some insperation too.

Just can't wait to get my 27' built! No pics yet. You can bet it will sit EXTREMELY LOW, & hopefully will be just as cool! BTW, NICE pics posted! My regards to the camera crew!

    VAROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

  8. Thanks for posting those. That blue one that was in TRJ has given me serious wood since I seen it. I've got everything for a 31 roadster except one quarter, but I've got a bustle & a bed.:)

(I don't think the gray one sucks at all ?)

Some great stuff beatnik, thank you. Looks like we're going to do a traditional flathead powered rpu, something you might have seen on the salt in the 50's as a multi-purpose parts and equipment hauler (plus beer cooler), push truck, and a slow but fun racer.

my brother n law is building one out of nothing, he has picked up a lot of restorers left over parts for free that are in good shape. I had a stock drivetrain that Im letting him use I will get pictures and post this weekend I think he has less than $300.00 in it right now.

Dang, beatnik! You've got a helluva pic collection! Maybe I'm being greedy, but got any more 28/29 RPUs? I've got one in the works too.

I'm off to the shed to get some pics. Just got mine mocked together for the first time with both the body and motor in it at the same time...(wipe brow) it fits. About to take it apart again to weld in some crossmembers.

When I get back I'll put a pic right here.

The great gearhead collective subconscious strikes again!! I found a crusty old Model A bed and tailgate, then that got me thinking..... I have a spare '30 cowl, a spare pair of ultra-mega chopped 30-31 doors, and I just bought way more 2x4 tubing than I need to complete the Coupe's frame, I though "I bet I could toss together another Model A with this junk", come here to look for old posts, and this was sitting up on page 1. I think it's a sign.

You guys have some nice RPUs. Great brainstorming material.....

  28. :D Well one idea.........you could give it to me & go and build something else:D Gary 4T950 Chevy Guy.......but it looks like you will want to keep it as there is something about those roadster pickups.
