Yesterday I was sitting in the garage talking to my bro about getting screwed out of a `29 coupe deal, but telling him what I really wanted was an A sedan. About 15 min later I heard the sound of a diesel truck and seconds later a fellow mofo walks throught the door. He tells me, "I got a car out here I want you to look at, cause I dont want it". So I walk out gave him a thouseand bucks and now it's in my driveway. I know you smart guys have already seen that it it right hand drive. it was broght over from Bolivia about 30 years ago and has sat in a barn since then. it is all complete down to the interior and all the words on the firestones are in spanish and motor turns freely... so now I have something to do this weekend, and every other weekend for at least a year.
[ QUOTE ] Lucky Mother Fucker.. [/ QUOTE ] I don't know ya,,,,,,,but I hate ya! Looks like a nice body and a great deal,,,,wanna make a profit on it? HRP
you paid 1,000 bucks for that? that's quite a friend you got there. I have always loved the way those look.
I wouldnt even hotrod that thing. get it running and fucking drive it like that. that thing is very cool. Dont tear it apart. You can buy another body all day long for a few hundred dollars, but totally together and original.... man, dont do it. Cars like that are simply gone. most of the time jackasses get on this board bragging about scores and it's normally a pile of shit coupe that they (or anyone else for that matter) will never finish. this actually is a score.
Yeah he is luckyfucker and you all should see his wife... no joke. Good job Jeff... you suck! Now lets chop the fuck out of it! BP
I am gonna get it running and drive it like it is for a lil while, then I am going to do a mild chop, put the flathead in it, some juice brakes, 16" wheels and clean it up a bit more.
unbelievable I'm so jealous I could spit. Great score. Now it's your turn to be the guy that pulls up in front of my house with a $1000 RHD Model A.
[ QUOTE ] Are you going to keep it a right hander? I think it would be cool if you did. [/ QUOTE ] yeah I am, I have to check with the UK, NZ and Aussie HAMBERS to see what to best to use
I gave that much for a rusted out RPU. People always say "thery're still out there" I just wonder how many really are. I bet it would blow our minds if we knew. Ever ride down the road and just wonder "What's within a 5 mile radius of here?" If we only knew..... Hi Gooch. JH
Harrison, the funny thing is that it was in a barn not 5 miles from my house... my buddy who dropped it off's friend is an electrician who's grandfather broght it over from Bolivia. the old man passed away a few weeks ago and had 3 cars in the barn. the others I guess where a T and a rusted to hell 29 Coupe. both those were taken by the family, but they didnt want this one. yeah, a BARN in Garden Grove, Orange County California...
[ QUOTE ] ---...--- [/ QUOTE ] Shit...SHIT...MY RETINAS....THEY'VE MELTED!!!!!!!!! It's interesting that you want to keep it RHD, we run ours LHD There's a pretty cool RHD steering box you could use in your A from a Ford Transit, which is an English Ford van used by builders and plumbers etc. We're putting one in our A40 gasser, I'll take some photos of it tomorrow and post them for you if you're interested.

Thats the best score ever, good luck Pete
over here they use a wealth of different steering box setups but the most common is probably from our 70's on Ford falcons if ya want i can have a look throigh some old magazines and see if i can find a swap 4 ya
