Really interested in any info you can share about installing a T spring in an A. I am using an original A frame & really don't want to notch it but I am using a 40 rear end. I want it to sit over the rear axle like the original A spring. Any links to how you did yours????

    Thank you.

Well, Mine is a stock A rearend, but used A shackles and hung the spring. No real science to it. The T spring is a 1/4" narrower than an A spring...some people make little spacers for the shackles and the crossmember. I didn't worry about it and it does not move around at all (your only talking 1/8" on each side.)
Now, with your 40 rear, you will have to weld spring perches on the top of your rear, if you want the spring above axle. I would just measure an A rearend, and weld the shackles on so that they are the same distance apart as an A, that way the spring is not to loose or streched to tight.

So i guess heres a little update, i FINALLY got around to doing my own axle for the car friday, slapped spindles and drums on real quick to see how it sits, it will be a little lower with fluids in the car, i LIKE it though. last weekend i made a gay pedal setup from a 37 ford mechanical ***embly, it took about 10 minutes. i dont have my Tig at the moment so i cant weld ****, and im not about to wire weld it, so heres a couple cell phone pictures of the progress! enjoy.
