Thanks ,we like the crazy rake look. Just hoping it didn't look goofy, and cause driving issues. Too bad I had my inner fender wells all patched up,because they rub. Going to have too do a minor tub job.

  5. IMHO,there is no such thing as too much rake!

and Bias Ply tires ride great. HRP

Seems a little high in the ass, to me.

  7. Just a tad high, looks to have a 70s rake going on imo. JW

yep, looks like Cool 70's - might need to modify seat base so that you lean back a little to have a better ride for you.

for the ones that think its too high in the rear, remember cars are like women, when they start getting old the top end falls off and the rear starts to sag. Better to have her a little high and tight to start with LOL

A noticeable rake is nice, but, and just IMO,when it starts to look like a fat girl sat on the cowl,it needs to be evalulated.

fronts are 145 sr 14 Michelin 24 inches tall, rears are 31x12.5.15 hoosier. I wanted to match the fenderwell as much as possible. It's are first build so it's all pretty new to me.

  18. I like it !
4* seems to look great on a hotrod.

The problem I encounter is with 4* rake and the engine sitting at 3* the other way - makes a 7* visual problem at cowl to engine relation.

takes quarter work and a 32 chassis to perfect the rake on a tudor....:D

  20. check your caster because changing rake changes your axle inclination/angle

I would love to have that, but the 32 frame was out of my budget :( I am also struggling with just patch panels and the chop.

Never thought of the castor, Whats the minumum I can get by with there?

  24. I like the rake, but the wide steamroller tires on the rear does scream the 70's. HRP

  25. I think you can have to much, but yours is not one of those. It's perfect, I'd leave it just like it is. I struggled with getting it right on mine and it looks like we have about the same rake and similar size ( diameter ) tires. The only difference is visual difference with the fenders on mine. IMO.
I read 31 Vickys reply and thought wow. so I just put my magnetic angle finder on the air cleaner and it reads 1 degree down in the front, when I set up the drive train I used the 3 degrees down (trans) 3 degrees up (rear end) formula with the frame level to the floor, so I must be at 4 degrees rake with the tires on. I guess the bottom line is, how does it look when it's sitting and yours looks good.

    I think it looks great!
If I filled my wheelwells like that I would have too much. When the previous owner of mine filled the roof he extended it over the windshield replacing the Visor with it. Aids in vision. I also added a Prism on the dash to see the traffic lights.
Just Tubbed the rear. Going wider but not taller and loosing the Mags. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1389281575.798055.jpg
