  5. TRAGEDY: The wind kicked up while I was out cruising and it whipped my hood open which bent the side all to shit. It was an aftermarket hood that opened from the side. Luckily I have Haggerty Ins.

  6. Wow! Not sure I could cut that one up! I would just have to change the wheels and stance and let it ride.

    Nice car....

I started building this little sedan 16 years ago paying for it with my overtime I make in the winter ( snow plow operator) and with a lot of work and $$$$ this is what I ended up with. I plan on a triple deuce setup this year and it should be about done.

Loved that car Ryan! Then and now. You guys had no idea at the time, but I followed you and your traveling group all the way to the St. Paul Nats in '82. I didn't know any of you guys at the time, so I just kept my distance. Sure was nice to have the hours roll away with that car out ahead though...

You have a good memory Chip, what were you driving on that trip? My sister was 13 and I was 9 when we drove to St. Paul and back, and we used garbage bags as luggage because there was so little room in the car with 4 people in it.

We travelled from Tucson with Frank Costanza, who had a Toyota 4 cylinder in his '34 sedan. That's also the trip that we first met Buck and Teresa Dosdall in their '34 sedan (they had run out of gas somewhere in New Mexico I believe), and we ended up traveling there and back with them.

Real A400. Will try to start a build thread this winter as I work on it. Have most all the hard A400 stuff. Thought I would sell it to get a roadster, but wasn't getting any realistic offers so I guess I will finish building it.
Hope to have it on the road in a couple of years.

Some great sedans in this thread. I will toss mine in the ring. Not anywhere close to complete but here is a mock up pick.
