I came across this while looking at stuff I shouldn't have been..... How about a photoshop? These things are actually more common than you would think. Coker Tires are actually thinking of repoping the back tyres. Coker Tire Anyone for some Hot Rod sand racing??
I could swear I've seen those paddle tires in another Model A catalog - Snyder's maybe? I wonder how the foremost axle was mounted on the car in that picture? dan
Pretty cool. My uncle just bought an old snowcat. It have 4 sets of tracks and uses a Dodge powerwagon frame with a jeep like cab and custom hod and grill. I couldn't find a pic of one like his, but picture a one piece hood on the first one with the treads from the 2nd.
I owe a good friend a favor, if anyone has a lead on a Model T Ford Snowmobile I'd like to know about it. Wouldn't turn down a Model A conversion either.
We don't need no steeenking photoshop... This came over from Sweden to attend the last 3 GG shows. Dude says he had it over 100mph on a frozen lake.. krazy
there is one of those sitting not to far from my home town. Complete even, it was a mail vehicle for years i guess.
[ QUOTE ] How do you get in the "A"? it looks like the tracks cover the doors so they won't open. [/ QUOTE ] Saw a similar one in Montana years ago. It had the bottom part of the p***enger door cut from the upper part. The bottom 1/3 didn't open. The upper 2 hinges allowed the upper part of the door to work fine. Most of those snowmobile conversions were reversable so you could switch back to wheels in the summer.

Believe it or not there was a rough Model A snowmobile for sale down here in sunny Florida at the Sumter County swap meet a couple of months back. Also as a sidenote, Ford had a nitro burning Boss 302 powered snowmobile/rail used for some kind of promotion in the early `70's. I wish I could find some pics for you as it was very cool.
Seen the blown one and its crazy, now the sedan set up.. would have to build one if I lived in MN or up north.. Hotrodding in the winter...
[ QUOTE ] Flexi, that's great. Shoulda dropped the headlights and gave it wide whites tho. [/ QUOTE ] How about some Rockabilly Red too? I should be studying for finals....
I saw this thing on Swedish tv when it was driven on the lake, and it shore did go fast on the ice. Her is another snowmobile Ford that i saw on sale on E-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=6235&item=4509622219&rd=1
