I have Model A spindles and I have small bolt pattern Ford rims.. What brakes can I run on the A spindles that will accept the smaller bolt pattern? Thanks guys..
70's Barracuda (same I know, I just like the word) You use GM Calipers...there are whole or partial kits available.....just google......TCI kits or 37-48 brake kits
I'm "guessing" 5 on 4.5 bolt pattern, and probabley because he has A spindles, even though they are way more expensive to put kingpins in and arent designed for heavier cars.
hey guys sorry for lack of info.. the rims are 5 on 4.5 and the reason im using model A spindles is because i have them and im building my roadster on the cheap. so i was just wondering if theres an easy way to get my rims on those spindles. if not, whats a good set up run on my 37 ford axle?
I done it years ago, if memory is right, had to turn the spindle to fit the GM bearings, and use a spacer, because the spindle is to long.
You don’t say drum or disc brakes …… but either way you will have it a lot easier and probably less time and cost if you find some 37 - 48 spindles.
