    * todays update *

    woo hoo i got the day off of work and had made some plans previous to get down to throttlejockeyoriganals and have tj go ahead and louver the hood couldnt figure out what i wanted so tj laid my hood down onto his model A project and than we began to look at how the louvers would look with a peice of scrap panel with some louvers punched into it ..well after a he cleaned the hood very well and laid out the lines ..we grabbed a bite to eat and rite after he began to louver i didnt want to over do it i figured less was more so this is what we collectively came up with 2 rows of old school louvers on each side ..enjoy

    i liked the less is more,we did the old school style to fit the era of the car and i thought 2 rows were enough im gonna do the rumble lid soon so i figured ill wait to load up the louvers back there ..

    The 2 rows on each side looks perfect, it's simple, and clean, the way rods should be (the ones that use 3, or 4 rows look too busy, and or cluttered).

    Thanks for the shots.....I think 3/4 really do portray cars like this best. This reeks of sweetness. Can't wait to see where it goes from here!

    Love the sport coupe roadster. I am building the same thing only using roadster doors and roadster cowl. How is the leg room to drive? I haven't got that far yet...

    i got plenty of room for my legs im about 5.4 but anyone even a 6 foot guy could drive my car you got a 30-31 so you should have more room than me but than again ya using the roadster cowl and door it shortens the car up a bit ..

    Question for you, what length axle are you running under there? 46" 47 3/4" ?

    I just put the rear axle under my car yesterday. Its a 40 ford axle tubes with a winters V8 quickchange center, and it is WIDE. I am thinking I can eat up some of the width with wheel offset, but I was wondering how much offset can you use up before you start hitting the spring perch. I am running 16 inch rims with a 750 16 rear tire.

    Not to shure about your off set trouble I'm using a later 40's early. 50's truck.banjo rear end it has leaf spring pads on it. And tall gears.

    Borrowed a set of wheels from Jeffery James and with a 700-16 tire it looks like I am hitting the target.

    so i just scuffed and painted the 16 inch steelies a semi gloss black, i also polished the caps as much as i could, i removed the trim rings i think it looks a little more hot rod without them, i also mounted the rear shocks here some shots from today of the car chevk out the fresh louvers out back...

  30. Nice build Lorodz,
    looks like all the photoshopping help turn your ideas into reality (hats off to Poboyross) AND there are a lot of performance parts for those 2300, just go to any stock car site.
