    * update *
    were to begin.well last week i had trouble with the round back spindles turns out that when i heated them up and dropped em they were super close but not close enough the steering was all over the place so i orderd a new set of dropped steering arms from pete & jakes threw t'j origanals so i picked em up and installed them, steering is ok but i think i need a alignment still. it wants to pull left and right at the same time,
    another issue i was having was the holly 450 carb i bought was pouring way to much fuel in the motor so i removed it and installed a single barrel rodchester car runs great now, no more bog .. so i take the car for a ride around the block go to stop and here a pop in the back turns out the god damn rear brake line let go must had a tiny pinch close to the drum that i didnt see and it finally went better now than later ..so now i have to swap a brake line ( i tell ya one thing after the next ) someone tell me again why we do this ..

    I feel your pain. It's especially bad if you're doing stuff up so you can drive it, with the intent of coming back when you do the "finishing pass". I'm always redoing stuff....it drives me, my wife, and my pocketbook to the bottle.

    It's looking great!!! Be sure and get some YouTube vid of you driving it around.

    I'm *just* getting started on mine, gathering enough parts to put the chassis together. Snagged a nice cowl from CA...now I gotta figure out how to get it here!!!! XP

    *todays update *

    well after having so much trouble with the steering i think i got the trouble licked today i pulled the box out of the car, i took it apart nothing seemed to be out of order so i called denis carpenter and he told me that the worm gear on the shaft was probably to worn out to adjust anymore, so he recomended i buy a new worm gear and shaft that he sells with all new bearings and race's, and gaskets i would have bought it from him but it would have taken 4 days to get i dont have the time to wait so, what i did was call a place called joblot here in new york wich is a 45 min ride from where i am located spoke the the parts department to find out they had everything i needed in stock except the steering shaft wich was no biggie because tj.at throttlejockeyoriganals had on the shelf go figure ..( guys got everything down there) so anyway i took a long ride and picked up the parts spent a pretty penny to have it all today $365.00. so i get over to tj's and get to work took me a while to do since we didnt have a reamer tool for the new bearings so i had to hand sand them down so the new shaft would slide down anyway at the end of the day 7:00 p.m i got the box rebuilt and back in the car it is smooth and tight no more free play between left and right ..i will take it for a ride on weds night after i put everything else back together ill get pics also ..

    It seems to run, and scoot along pretty good with the 1 bbl on it, it's too bad we live half way accross the country from each other, I know I could get to haul ass if I could only get my hands on that holley 2 bbl while it was on the car. The car is coming along nicely.

    That's a really nice Rod! You've kept it true to what a period Hot Rod should be. (we can excuse the banger).

    Nice.
