Im battling mating my model a spring to my franklin quick change. I cant get the 49 inch perch width , im running old drum wide 5. I posie sells a shorter spring, but im trying to avoid buying another spring. Has anyone seen any success in re-arching the A spring a bit taller to make in narrower . Im not concerned with the hieght because ill be making my own perchs and running spring behind. I really need about 46 inch spring perch centers. Any ideas are appreciated.
Find a good Spring shop & have the main leaf reworked . They should be able to narrow & roll new eyes on your main leaf .
