I have a 30' Model A Tudor Sedan I want to put a steel top on it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how or any pictures of similiar cars with this done?

  2. Major undertaking for a home project. Suggestions? Re-do it like Henry did it, then you have something to hook the new headliner to.

Seems like theres some pictures of someone putting a steel top on a coupe in the new Rod and Custom. I don't remember how much of the work they actually show.

    Hey,

Ya gotta choice of roof panels on a ceedan.......
It'll depend on if ya like the look of ribbs, like the above pictured sedan,
or the smooth look. Start lookin at mid sixties big Ford/Merc wagons for
a roof clip, these will give ya a smooth look. Many of the ribbed paneled
roofs from vans and full sized wagons will work, but not all have the crown
    you're after, without some work.
When ya find the roof you like, buy the whole roof clip, this will leave ya
plenty of material to work with. Cut and fit the panel very carefully, and
weld it in in with small tack welds diagonally across from one another.
Roofs won't take much **** off ya, from welding heat, before they'll up
and warp on ya. Go slow, it shouldn't take alotta pink metal to make it
    purdy.
