Does a Model A ***le show the A or AA that is in front of the Vin.#? Mine does and one I was going to buy does not. Which one is correct?
Model As show an "A" on the front of the serial number. The model "AA" designation was for 1 1/2 ton trucks." It is possible, however, to have something completely different based on ***ling laws in your particular state be it a shop build, fabricated, kit car, etc...
Was the "A" on the frame number, the engine number, or both? Plenty got ***led with the engine number, but not all.
After 80 plus years you'd be lucky to have a matching motor and frame Check the frame or motor vin to match ***le. Maybe the A was left off on the ***le. CA for Canadian motors. Have heard Canadian models sometime do not have frame numbers stamped.
Thanks guys, I know about the frame and motor #s. The question I have is about the ***le it looked a little fishy not having the (A) starting the Vin#. My 29 CCPU has it on the ***le this one did not it just had a Vin#???
I have Pennsylvania ***les that are both ways. Some with the A or AA, some without. It just depends on who wrote the numbers down to begin with.
