I have driveline noise and would like advice on the best way to remove the torque tube. Hoping it is not to bad of a job. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Hi from Nor-cal. The whole rear end needs to roll out the back! Undo the tube at the trans. I am doing my 37 right now. Needs new u-joint. The bearing at the front of the tube is shot also. Undo everything, spring u-bolts, etc. Jack it up in the rear until the spring will clear. Get some good jack stands under the frame in front of the rear wheels. Put the tranny in neutral and roll the thing out. Hopefully some Model A guy's will chime in with details. It's gonna be sweet when it's done. Happy motoring, Bruce

  5. Yes, leave the entire rear end together as an assembly and remove it that way. It's major attachment points are torque tube to trans, spring to rear crossmember. Then, its just removing speedo cable, brake linkage, shock linkage. Then, withe the wheels on, roll the whole thing out the back.

    Good luck.
