I just saw that train (or one VERY similar) go through town about a week ago. I didn't notice the engine, but I looked over and saw the p***enger cars and though, "WTF? I didn't know UP had p***enger cars."

Yes, the official term is "Special Agent".
I have known many of the UPRR's special agents over the years and they are the neatest guys you ever want to have as friends.
They are actually very good public relations people for the RR.

When I saw this video I thought of one of the most talented artists here on the H.A.M.B.
Sure would like to hang this on my wall

My Dad used to chase the trains back when there was mostly steam. Cool video gave me goose bumps with the sights and sounds of that steam engine and the Model A tudor wide open, havnt heard both them sounds in quiet awhile. He said the steamer was goin about 60 and he mustv been goin 65 which was about tops for my old A bone. I missed them steamers by a year when I was a fireboy for the Santa Fe.

I grew up Chicago about a block and a half from the outer belt switch yards
My friends and I would put pennies on the track and collect them after
These big steamers and 100 or so fright cars rolled over them
Then one day no more steam engines just not as much fun
