No we don't throw this stuff away, BUT we don't throw our money away either...
You may want to get a little more time on this board before you start offering "good ebay deals" up for us "limp*****s"...

So let me get this straight, I must have a few hundred posts before I can let others on the board know about a decent deal on an old car for sale. Thank your your clearing that up. I must apologize.

    I still say...

    Complete 1930 Tudor body/frame/rearend
    1948 59A Flathead
    1938 3 speed trans
    1935 Ford rear end.
40's Ford juice brakes (complete set of 4).
1935 Ford wheels wirestyle (sand blasted and primed)
    1930 and 32 wishbones
dropped front axle with perches and a spring
31 to 41 Ford spindels (round backs) 1 set
    1948 Ford F100 steering box

for $1499 is a decent deal.
    Hey, its not my stuff.

    What does everybody else think?????

  9. oh, thats not a bad deal just looks like a ton of work for that car.
I once got my**** chewed for knocking a post about SUV's just because my register date was new..... dont worry about it.

I honestly wouldnt try to save a buck by buying that pile of someone else's cast offs. Save some money and buy something a little more complete.

If all you can afford is junk, you will not enjoy this hobby. In that you will most likely burn out on all the work and sell it off and move on to another pile of junk and start the cycle all over again... I have seen it a thousand times. Some guys can start with real***** and see it through but most of the junk that gets posted on this site will never get done.

with that said, I want all the***** in that auction just not the body.

I really don't know that much about prewar Fords, but that seems like a good enough deal to me. I don't see any big gaping holes in the body, and that's a much bigger start on a project than you'd get with just a body anyway.

SHEEEEIT! looks like a GREAT deal to me. at least at $1500. there is alot of good parts there you might spent a grand on gas going to the swaps to look for these parts. i'd want to see a couple better pics of the body before i bid but from the one available it looks to be real solid. just lots of surface rust. looks like a hell of a start for someone that knows what they are doing and wants to build a 40s era hot rod.

i say thanks for the heads up, newbie [IMG]...

by the way, do you know Sammy (BUTT REYNOLDS)? he lives in the same town as you. i've been there so i know it ain't that big. seems like everyone should know everyone [IMG]...

I think it looks like a decent deal. Take a close look people. That is a DROPPED axle I believe? $300+ if we're talking ebay money - and that's where this thing is advertised. I'd like to know where all of the $50 spindles and $100 juice brakes are? [IMG]

Gooch - Not arguing, just thought you'd want to see some progress on a project that was started with some real nasty stuff and has been on a small budget ever since. I'm building the car that never should have been built but I'll be driving it this spring.

Thanks. There are other pictures I'm sure if you do a search...probably more than there should be. Hell, I was reluctant to post this one - I was afraid it was becoming the next "Mosquito".

continentaljohn - I am fully with you on the cheap**** thing. If I broke down a list you could put free next to a lot of the pieces on my car. There'd also be a lot of "thanks" on that list too. I was just thinking in the context of ebay - which I'm sure we can agree is a completely different world.
