Looking to get a windshield frame for 31 Model A, I have found several but not sure who has the best quality for the money. I will be chopping it about 2 inches if that makes any difference and would like to use the top hinge so it can be opened

Where have you purchased them from and where you happy with the quality?

    Thanks, Kerwin

Walter Trautwein makes the best in steel IMO. We cut down an aluminum A windsheild in the shop a few months ago and I wasn't all that impressed with the quality of the lower piece that was tack welded on. Bob

  3. Why not use a stocker and cut it?

I was looking at the ones that MAC's and Synder's has, are either of them better than the other? MAC's says USA made so am leaning toward them

Got a steel one from Speedway...
    Nice quality!
Fairly easy top cut down (sides and top) and weld.

  7. They both use the same supplier, so quality is the same. You might have a little better shipping experience with Snyder's vs. Mac's.

  8. I would just find a stocker and modify it. They are still fairly plentiful, hell, I've got three and I don't even own an 'A'!.

Snyder's always checks stock and HELPs out with shipping...MAC's ...not so much
