Good luck to you, you certainly have plenty of work ahead of you. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
WW2 oxygen tank removed... Brackets need to be cut away... Aluminum gas tank in-situ (I fabbed this sucker up and still need to connect to the hard lines)
No Lie, get rid of the off road tread...... Needs chopped. With some styling cues changed, that thing could look like a lakes car.
I know those rear tires are ugly... I want them to match the front tires... I have no clue how to get the right size, as there are so many choices... Any input would be appreciated on that front. Also white walls or no?? How much chop do y'all recommend? also what is a lakes car? Best, Whisky
Omg!! even crapper than my sedan. I would love to follow this thread. Keep up the good work. Good luck.. Thread subscribed!!!! (just doing this to get more posts.)
Cool project. Should be fun to watch a rat be de-verminated and made into something nice. Keep the pix coming, we like to watch others work!
Good luck on your project. With the amount of rust repair you have to do, your metal working skills should be pretty good when you are thru. Keep at it. Pat.
I was going to do a coupe 10 inches once. Any more and you gotta cut around back window, so you have a window left to see out of. Just don't park to close to a mail box. People might get confused and not know which one to put their letters in. You have to raise the panel behind the visor too. Or put a mirror on your dash so you can see green lights.
Started changing all the rubber lines out and replacing with brass... The Oil lines will be copper... ...
okay, so here are some pre and post photochops... let me know what you think... too mild or not enough... save comments on grill for right now as I am probably going to section (only issue is size of damned radiator that needs to be covered) everyone free to comment except "Lance Speed" as I do not like negativity. Which is too bad as he appears to be a motorcycle guy and painter like me. When you get a chance Mr Speed please read the self actualization model, it will help you reach inner peace.
Thanks for the info... Will definitely keep in mind... I'm thinking 4-6" maybe 8" at max, but will just have to go through the motions to see what I like... Best, Whisky
REst of the car looks good, but that grill needs to go on a ihc pickup!! You shorter grill not raked out like that. Looks like a rat rod!
With the cowl being so short, I think a T grill would be the best for proportions and flow. That flathead would look better/bigger with the shorter T grill also. I wouldn't chop very much. It might look squashed if you go to far.

I currently do not have a car to fit the HAMB criteria but I do live the life! And if you knew anything about me I have build some SHIT! I hate to appologize to someone I dont know but I was not being negative I was TRYING to be funny, in other words chop the piss out of that thing, loose or cut down the grill, get some proper tires on it and your off to a great start. Heres the comment you didnt want! GOOD LUCK! PS. post your pics vertically, it easier to see!
Very kool! Has a lot of potential if you can do it right. A nice clean hot rod. Please, get rid of the grille... Keep at it!
Put down another vote for losing that grille. A simple rule of thumb, your rad/grille shell should never be taller than the cowl. Even if you do like the grille, I dont think there is much you can do in order to make it look right on that car. A model T, a 28/29 Model A or chopped 32 grille would look right at home on it.
