Pffft... You should see me fish! Louvers will be tough to seal off when its cold or raining, and i don't think louvers will grab nearly as much air as a big ol' scoop (stock gas filler door) would. Louvers may not even make a noticeable difference. Still, this is YOUR car not ours. Make sure you build it the way YOU want it or you'll never be satisfied with it. You've been great about taking sensible advice regarding safety and such, but this is more of a function/style question. Do what you think is best, it'll turn out great.
Uhhh... ummm.... sure? There's only one person who needs to LOVE the finished project, and that's YOU. I know you have an eye for style and design after looking over your leather work and bike builds. You KNOW that grill doesn't have ANY flow, but YOU are the one who needs to be happy with the final product, not me or anyone else. BUILD THE CAR YOU WANT!
I havent ready this entire thread but has anyone gone over the fact that this isn't a coupe that this guy is building. sooo He might want to change the caption.
What is it? And how do you change the title? ps when you post on this thread you don't have to refer to me as "this guy" Read the entire thread and refer to me in first person singular... Thanks
No worries bro, that grill is long gone... It has no business anywhere near this build... Probably go with an A grill
Pennafxu.....great build, great attitude, and good eye for details!!!! My two cents....smooth cowl (no vent), model A grill, and NEW steering box!!! An idea for a metal worker like yourself...how about an Edsel grill to give it the sixties custom look.
