Getting closer, but a ways to go still! I want this smooth so the paint isn't too orange peel looking...

Lots of fins to keep track of, so I marked the missed ones with a sharpie

Thanks for the words! Slowly but surely I guess...

i enjoyed your pick-up album and that neat mustang... I have two mustangs currently a 65 vert and 65 notch, both rangoon red! Is yours RR or poppy seed red? It looks like it has huge tires on it, is it a resto-mod? Also did you use urethane primer prior to painting your casted parts or did you just go to town with the enamel?

Lookin' good! I'll never have polished aluminum unless someone else does it!

How many hours do you have in that one head now?

Quick question... I ordered the chrome acorn nut kit, do I need to shorten any head studs for it to fit??

i'm not totally sure to be honest , a friend of mines family rund a large body shop which is where we painted the engine block and heads , everything is mixed in house , all i know is he swears by it and its a pale yellow when mixed and smells like hell , tough stuff though after we used it we shot the block and heads then cleared them and baked them in the booth ! i have several miles on the engine w no chipping or discoloring even around the exhaust ports

So the acorn nuts came in today... High quality... I'm impressed! They were individually packaged!!! Now that's attention to detail... The inner ones weren't all stapled either, only the outside bag... ImageUploadedByTJJ1346096642.069819.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1346096654.298707.jpg ImageUploadedByTJJ1346096668.530296.jpg

Also for those HAMB'rs that get gooey over chrome shiny bits I would recommend not "test fitting" these as they are a bitch to pry off... Not that I would know... (a friend of a friend etc... :))
