Man, that looks a little wide to me. It should be OK for your K member on this build, but I'd personally be more comfortable with just a little more meat between the OD of the hole and the edge of the beam. A half-inch smaller hole saw would be my pick to get an extra quarter inch on each side... might cut quicker too.
Yes. Thank you. I pondered this back and forth... The beams are so thick (3/16" plate) that it doesn't seem to make too much difference... I used a 3.25" bit, but you are right however and I will take your advice and switch to 2.75" for the rest of the pieces... In the interim I drilled the center pieces only...
