Model AA frame?

    Has anybody here used a truck frame as raw material for a hot rod? (cut to length and kicked up in the rear).

    Is it just too damn heavy?

    Oh yeah, I'm thinking about it for my '31 5 window....not a fire truck [​IMG]

    Sounds good,cant be any heavier than the 2x3x3/16ths frame I built for my A Coupe.......

    A friend used an shortened AA frame under an A Tudor years ago, said it worked out fine.

    Yep, Pogo built a very nice little frame out of some AA rails. It really came out nice.

    Always liked this Model AA -- with two flathead V8s, one under the hood and the other behind the cab.

    Yup! Kenz and Leslie were truely pioneers at Bonneville and in many other endeavours. Those two guys accomplished more than a dozen other people in their lifetime. Thanks for posting that Mike.

  11. I used one under a 31 coupe back in '79.........the guy still owns it and drives it that bought it from me........
    I now have a 32 big truck frame that Im savin for a channelled '34......

    Someone on the HAMB posted this excellent AA frame last year, but I can't remember who.
