Another " whats it worth" Thread...

    Sorry about that.

But at least its not disguised Spam for a Classifieds Ad ( its not in the Classifieds), and I'm not invoved in the sale of this Truck.

It belongs to a lady in my neigbourhood, her late husband used to drive it around but it has been sitting unused for about 3 years.

It comes with some extra parts, like a spare engine, has a title, and the body seems really nice.

She got an offer from somebody that called it a 1942 Model T ( ) for $2000.
But she had the feeling that might be a lowball offer...

And I have no idea what a stock truck like that would be worth.

    Thanks guys...

Well, it's not really a resto but looks clean and solid. If it's been sitting for 3 years in Arizona and engine still turns, it is very likely a weekend away from being a runner...
As a bottom line, think cab, 2 engines, hood, fenders (all same as regular A), rarish shell, HD radiator, and 2,000 pounds of leftover scrap.
Probably worth more together, though, and there's a pretty solid AA cult group on Ford Barn. And you surely own some heavy stuff that needs moving...

The AA market is a tough one. I had a ton of trouble getting rid of some AA parts a few years ago. There are people out there with money to spend on these. The trouble, I found, is finding them.

I bought a nice 32 BB last year in very similar condition for $4,000 and a really nice one for $6,000, running, driving, etc. The big trucks don't bring nearly what the cars and pickups do, because of their size and dog slow performance. They're still fun, though.

    Thanks guys.

This will give me some information that I can pass on.

Bruce, you are right, I should have posted this on the Fordbarn.

    I'll do one right now...

( and no, I dont want to own it myself.
I'm already up to my nostrils in projects and even if I wasn't, I'd tear it down to turn it into a Hot Rod.
So that would mean throwing most of it away...
and it seems to nice for that.)

It's a late 1931 (august 1931 or later) has the Budd built cab with the all steel roof and indented firewall. Don't know about the value, but looks to be a pretty nice truck.

  13. I'd hate to tear down one that nice, but the cab is the same as pickup, and the Budd-built cab that came out in late '31 is roomier than the earlier A/AA cabs. The seat back is angled back more instead of almost straight up and down like the seat backs on the earlier cabs, much more comfortable especially for a taller person.
