My latest Model A. I have built many A's as hot rods, but this one will remain a banger. Good older restoration but needs a bath and some "make up".
Currently torn down for big cleaning and some paint, both on top and bottom.

Already has '40 Ford brakes, and I am using a '34 front axle and reversed eye springs front and rear, with a couple less leaves in the springs. Also have a new top on order. Not sure of a new color yet, but will be a home job in my tiny garage.

This was delivered on our winter day, Winter was a Thursday this year. Long gone now.

Hey don't beat me up too bad..........has anyone ever used 28-29 fenders on a 30-31?

I don't think there were any on this thread.

Hey Tom. I used 28/29 front fenders on my old '31 Tudor in the 80's. Had to make my own side splash aprons. I've always liked the early fronts because they swoop down quicker. I'll have to search out a pic and scan it in.

Poor pics, but best I could find quick. '31 Tudor built in the 80's. Used 29 front fenders and hand built splash aprons.

Thanks Jake, lookin' foward to seeing the pic. I like the early fronts for the same reason.

I like your new paint booth too. ;)

Hey you type and scan way too fast.

Larry has a great eye for building hot rods. He built several 29 fords among other cars, but the 29's have always been my favorites. Not only did he build a fantastic chassis, but he made subtle changes to the body work to make the cars more proportionate. The brown one with the orange wheels had a killer look also.

Thanks for posting the brown one (freakin' love this one), Chuck! Had only seen one or two other pics of it. I may have asked this before, but was Larry an Early Times member?

Another thing I remember asking a long time ago, but didn't really get an answer was....Did Larry ever do a nearly exact copy of the red one with the Hals only painted, like, Porsche Raspberry?! I swear that's what I saw one year at the Father's Day show. Same louvers everywhere, slammed, polished mags, etc...!

I have a couple more from years gone by. I think I remember that Raspberry one from an old Rod Action, I have to say that it would have been about 25 or 30 years ago. If I find it I will scan it and post.
