I like the way MPC re-purposed the Monkeemobile for Fonzie's Dream Rod...

Awesome thread! What a blast from the past. I remember seeing all of these and had a lot of them. Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

It didn't exist. I thought it could have made a cool kit. :)

I built this model car when I was a kid and it was my favorite model. Then I found my 55 chevy with the same name!! Pretty dang cool! ;)

Oldies but goodies. Wooden model car box art from the '40s and early '50s.

  13. Cool find in some 60's car model boxes I picked up. One box was full of directions for many different car models of that time, plus this entry form. Sorry for the quality of the pic, hard to photo in the frame I put it in.

  14. What a really fun thread here fellas !
Its like a trip back through time to pre-pubesence !
I assembled a few models back in the day but mostly found them as a great source of inspiration. I spent a lot of time in hobby shops oogling at all the cool box art. I also loved the artwork on the Planes, Spacecraft and Monster kits too !
Anyhow, I dont recall seeing this one posted yet. I saw it on the shelf on a recent trip to a local craft store to get some markers and sketch pads. I totally didnt realize VonFranco had his own kits. How cool is that !!

I've been trying to get one of those Allards for awhile. A guy beat me by a dollar on this one from e-bay .

  23. Great thread, glad I found it,

Mazooma1 - I have never seen another Paul Lindberg model kit before this post. I found this one incomplete some years back in a country town opp shop. And now see there was obviously more of them.
All seem to have serious tread on the tires and great decals.

    Thanks all for sharing,
    Lazy

Glad to see this thread bubble up... I never heard a peep on my question, so... anyone got ideas on what color the 16 B/A version is? Copper? Anyone ever try to duplicate the box art on that model? Gary

Looking at an unbuilt one as we speak and yes it looks copper or possibly metallic bronze?
