I bought a 3 foot diameter plastic pool for my dog for $7.99 and I guarantee it has a lot more plastic in it than a model kit.

The reason that prices are high is that more adults are buying models and they will pay more. Let's face facts, few kids today have any interest in building models.

For Christmas in the early 1960's I received two model kits I remember fondly...one was Mono ram's Black Widow, the other was XR-6, a radical T-bucket powered by a slant 6 engine...I be live it was by AMT....

Anyone know if these kits have been reissued?

LoL... Don't you mean the "Black Widow"???
It was released 5-6 months ago... You should be able to find a new one on ebay...
