Great looking stuff. I know you guys are from all over the world but I wanted to tell you about a model car contest in the Dallas area on September 21, 2013. The contest is limited to open wheel race cars because is it part of an event that is a celebration about American open wheel racing. More details about the event are here. $100 first prize! No registration fee. Join us if you can. Response has been very good so far. The common kit is the Revell Kurtis-Kraft kit. Frank Kurtis' son, Arlen, will be at the event. Bart
@ Steve B...clean work on the chrome window trim. Nice touch with the "WhoDat" license plate. Including the plate frame.
WOW these r great. i have some i need to finish but @ 68 yo i dont know if i have the patience anymore. ill find out this winter.......................
The black 57 and that Merc trips my trigger. Both look like one could slip behind the wheel and away they would go. This is what is on the bench at my place.
Jesus...Steve, another stellar build. I can only hope to get a step closer to those kinds of results with each of my builds.
I saw a photo in the "Vintage shots From Days Gone By" thread of a '32 Caddy converted into a tow truck.Since I had the Monogram '32 Caddy kit i decided to convert it from a Phaeton to a hook. Here I rescribed the front doors and roughed in the rear truck section. This should be cool!
In a couple of weeks the International Plastic Model Society will host their annual National convention and model contest. This year it is being held in Loveland Colorado. If any of you are in the area drop by. You will see some fantastic work. I will be there in the Swapmeet room selling model geek stuff. I'll make sure I take a bunch of pics of the model cars and trucks entered and post them here when I return if that is OK. Mike
